Your Monday Muse from JJ Heller_November 30

It’s been a rough year, and many of us have felt or shared loss in some way.

And, it may seem hard to rejoice during this special season.

But, our Heavenly Father wrote a beautiful story that brings light to a world lost in darkness.

In this story, He shared his most precious gift with us.

Unto us a child was born. Unto us a Son was given.

Christmas is a beautiful story that reminds us Heaven came down to Earth in the form of Baby Jesus, who was born in a manger to Mary and Joseph.

God blesses us with this beautiful story each year, not because it all happened exactly on December 25 or because He wants us feel we owe Him.

He wants to bless us with this amazing story of love, joy, and hope because only HE could orchestrate all the pieces, only HE could set the stage for what would come later.

Jesus’ birth is the best Reason to celebrate this season and yes, to be grateful for each and every blessing.

So, even though it may be difficult, l encourage you to remember that God brings us good things, even amidst our disappointments and pain and doubts.

You can lean into Him this season and rest in the story of Jesus’ birth.

You can hold this holy story close to your heart and you can share it far and wide.

The Christmas season is here. Let’s celebrate the little victories and remember that we have HOPE eternal because of a baby born to a virgin in a stable surrounded by animals under a bright and beautiful star.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

Heavenly Father,

As we enter this Christmastime, we want to say thank you. Thank you for giving us Jesus and for sharing such a precious gift with us.

Help us to share this good news with everyone we meet and as we go about the month of December, help us to remember that

you are the REASON we celebrate and the REASON we have hope and a future. Amen.
