Your Monday Muse from Church of the City (ft Jon Reddick)_November 2020

Hello and Happy Monday to you!
If you’re like us, you have felt a myriad of emotions the past week and as you look ahead, you may be struggling to zero-in on what your purpose and mission are as we continue to face tumultuous times. There is so much happening around us … in Washington DC … but also in our own zip codes.
The best way to continue moving forward in obedience to the Lord and His WORD, is to put on the armor of God and to seek out wisdom from the Almighty. If we look beyond the natural and keep our eyes focused on the everlasting and eternal, we don’t have to know every detail about what’s to come or what could happen because we know WHO is in charge and that He is with us every minute of every hour of every day.
Yes, there will be good days and hard days, but our Heavenly Father is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and we can face tomorrow (and the next day) because He lives and is on His throne watching over every aspect of our day to day – our mornings and our evenings, our comings and our goings.
Rest in this hope today.
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.” Hebrews 1:3-4
Dear Jesus,
We know only YOU are the King of this world and only you reign from on high. We lift our praises to you and as we move into this new week, we lean into your presence and lay our burdens and our worries at your feet. Be near Jesus through the days of sunshine and the days of rain. Thank you Jesus! Amen.
