Your Monday Muse-Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes
Lately, it’s hard to turn on the television, open your email, or, yes, even listen to the radio without being overwhelmed by the negative, indecision, and unrest. We are in a battle with the enemy, who is trying to create a place of fear and pain like never before.
Divisive Politics. Frightening Weather. Contentious Work Place. Conflicting World Events.
Yet, as believers, we can know with certainty as we step into this new day, there is ONE who is mighty enough to overcome the negativity, the intolerance, and the shame that our culture experiences, not only through the different news and entertainment sources at our fingertips, but also from those we interact with at school, are surrounded by at work, or even find amongst family at home.
Our God is for us and not against us. He wants to shelter us and not create fear in us. He is our rock and our foundation, an ever present source of strength in our times of weakness.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.” Psalm 46:1-3
God is our Healer.
God is Strong and Courageous.
God is a Peacemaker
God is Merciful.
God is our Protector.
God will not be restrained for He is the God of the Impossible.
No matter what circumstances you are in today, take some time to Praise Him…in your car, at your kitchen table, over lunch, or wherever you can.
And, before you sleep at night, cover you, your family, your home in prayer.
Because Love Wins the War.
God is Love.
