What brings you abundant and lasting JOY?

Your family and children? Your friends?

Your career and job or school? Your travels and experiences?

All those are wonderful and truly can add importance and purpose in our lives here on Earth, but they are all external and bring us happiness and positive emotions.

However, the JOY of the Lord is internal, and is not dependent on others or experiences. It is not summoned by us, it is always available despite our emotions and circumstances.

JESUS brings JOY to our lives and our hearts when we lean into Him, bring Him praises, and accept His gift of salvation.

His JOY is ours forever and always. Period.

“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalm 28:7
