Your Monday Muse-Mandisa
Yes, ,I know, today is Tuesday, not Monday, but because yesterday was a holiday (in the USA) and today is the first day of the work week for most, I thought we could all use this pick-me-up.
I think this morning most of us felt like my five-year-old, who informed me that she REALLY didn’t want to wake up this morning and REALLY didn’t want to go to school. I hugged on her, prayed over her, cuddled with her, and just tried to let her know I totally understood her feelings and her desire to just be home with me.
Because that’s how I felt too!
I’m not a morning person, and when my lovely cruel alarm went off and I opened my eyes this morning, I REALLY didn’t want to get up, I REALLY didn’t want to make breakfast, and I REALLY didn’t want her to go to school either. After the last ten days of fighting the germs and illness that found it’s way into our home, I was still complaining in my head as I lay there waiting for my snooze button to go off again.
*deep sigh*
Then, I remembered that we were feeling better. I remembered that I was going to get up and hug my little one. I was going to sing her awake, encourage her, giggle and cuddle with her before sending her to school to learn, listen, and play. It’s the best part of my day…well, next to picking her up and repeating the giggling and cuddling again.
Isn’t it amazing how God gives us rainbows after the rain, sunshine after the dark night, and smiles even after tears?
And, the Bible lovingly reminds us that, “Today is THE DAY the LORD has made, let us rejoice and be glad.” Psalm 118:24
I hope this song LIFTS you up, brings out the SUNSHINE, shows you your RAINBOWS, and let’s you GIGGLE out loud.
JOY Comes in the Morning, Friends.
Lambie Love,
Rachel
