Author Spotlight: Kiera Cass

Kiera Cass and I

Keira Cass and I

During my time at the RT Booklover’s Convention in May, I sat in on a panel about romance in young adult fiction. There were six panelists and they shared information about how they write YA romance that was interesting end entertaining. But, really, if you want to know the truth, I was there to try and meet one of the authors because after discovering her series of books, even as an adult, I was a fan. I knew I wanted to meet Kiera and to tell her about Little Lamb Books, so at the end of the session, I gathered my courage (yes, even adults feel nervous about meeting someone they admire), and I introduced myself. We had a picture taken together, she signed my copy of her third novel, and she allowed me to give my company pitch and share a business card. Those few short minutes felt epic, and really made the whole convention feel worthwhile for me.  And, hopefully, I’ll get the chance to interview her so you can see how cool she is, too.
