In light of the horrible news coming out of Charlottesville, Virginia, it’s hard to remember that there is GOOD in this world, but there are…good people, strong relationships, joyful kids, safe schools, inviting churches, beautiful music, respectful discussions, trustworthy leaders, interesting books. So. Much. Good.
It may not seem like it right now, but don’t let despair steal your joy.
Reach out to a long-distance friend. Hug a teacher. Sing loud with the windows down. Say thank you in the check-out line. Pay for the person’s lunch in the drive-thru behind you. Send an actual birthday card via snail mail. Open your curtains and let the sun shine in. Give a prayer of thanks to Jesus for your many blessings.
And, Stand Firm in the TRUTH: We are all beautifully, wonderfully made in God’s Image. Every. Single. Person.
Red, yellow, black, white, and brown…we are ALL precious in HIS sight!
Find the GOOD in your day today…and share it with as many as you can around you.
Jesus, please be with us all, not just in Virginia, but across this great country as we all struggle to understand, to learn, to listen, to stand firm in your Word, to not repeat the mistakes of others, and to LOVE ONE ANOTHER as you have taught us to love. “A new command I give you: Love One Another. As I have loved you, so you must Love One Another.” John 13:34
We love a capella music around here, and this song gives us goosebumps as we hear the melodies and harmonies…and the words.
Wishing you Peace today,
