Pets come in all shapes and sizes, colors and furs, paws and tails.
Today is giving thanks for four-legged friends.
We adopted a fur baby in 2010. She is gentle with our kids. She loves a good tug-of-rope game. She runs like the wind along the fence line chasing the sounds of cars and people. She hates to have our daughter walk away where she can’t be seen. She is our guard dog, our foot warmer, and our conscience. There are days her barks startle me and her energy makes me crazy. However, although she ruined a piece of furniture as a puppy, to her credit, she never once chewed one of our shoes. She loves to greet company, but doesn’t like being snuck up on. She can hear a piece of food drop on the kitchen floor from upstairs. She’s a personality all her own.
Pets come in all shapes and sizes, colors and furs, paws and tails. We hope you are giving thanks for one in your home tonight.
